A former
Airwalk filmmaker returns to the team that made him famous.

2 years ago he announced his retirement from moviemaking scene, leaving behind him many unfinished projects. He said that he felt it was time for a break, an unlimited break. Most of the audience responded to his act as being a heartless decision, since he was recognized as one of the greatest Romanian moviemakers and one of the most loved also. Even though the purpose of the audience’s reaction was to make him think it about his decision in depth, and hopefully reverse it, nothing happened. It was like nothing could have made him change his thoughts.
Now, after 2 years of complete absence, the man behind movies like EQUALIZE unseen skills 2 and EQUALIZE unseen skills 3 trailer returns to his first love
Airwalk Media.
The oldschool legend of Romania,
Cristian ‘fixN‘ Ghita, is once again ready for action.
We all hope that his return would be a great asset to Romanian moviemaking and because of these there are expected positive reactions from the audience with this official announce being released.
Below you can read an exclusive interview with him, where you can find out why he came back, thoughts about ESWC moviemaking contest and other unknown things.
As far as I know there aren’t too many filmmakers that came back after their retirement. And by many I’m thinking of less than the number of fingers on one hand. So, as history tells us, the probability of an oldschool filmmaker coming back is close to zero. This means that there is a special side of yours that most of the other retired people don’t have. What is so different about you, compared with the rest of the guys ?
First of all, Hi!
Secondly, I don’t think that I’m too different from the rest of the ‘old’ guys, it’s just that, one day I stood still, thought about my past, about those little things that made me happy back in the days, and I thought… Why not?
Ok, moviemaking makes you happy. Why did you retire then? Is it because this whole job was becoming to look more and more like a routine? Or because you felt that you had already done your part?
Yes, moviemaking can make you happy, and it worked for me, but also the audience matters, they can make you happy and faithful nor sad and hateful. I never thought that I’ve done my part, there’s a big and complex universe of small/big things that you can do in a movie. Regarding to your question, the answer is the audience and all those haters, but now I realize that it doesn’t matter so much, it only matters to be satisfied of your personal work and satisfy the respectful audience and the ones who enjoy what you do.
So you risked it all just because of public voices? Maybe it’s a bit of an exaggerated statement, but the fact that you left had a tremendous impact upon your video editor career. At least that’s how I feel. You were and still are a great oldschool filmmaker. Do you feel like you could have done many great things during the years you were inactive? If that’s true, I guess that now you are disappointed with choice you made.
Of course, there are always regrets, but I’m not mad about it neither, while I was inactive on the moviemaking scene, I’ve managed to realize other stuff IRL. Further said, I’m good where I am now, I feel like I still have a few words to say. My actual/future projects will speak from their selves. Thanks for your thumbs up xD.
It seems that you didn’t just come back for the sake of coming back. As I can see, you have got big plans too. Are there any mind blowing movies that lie ahead? Tell us everything!
Hehe, mind blowing? Not, maybe screen blowing xD. Now seriously, of course I came back with a plan, from now on I’m looking for more co-operations with big gaming communities, but I won’t say no to player/frag movies as well. Actually, now I’m working at a project called ‘Royalty’, it features pro players from all over the world. ‘H2k @ WCG preQuals 2010′ could be on my agenda as well for now, so you’ll definitely see more projects from me in the near future.
Does your current project, Royalty, have something to do with the latest ESWC moviemaking contest? If so, did this contest have anything to do with you coming back, to any extent? We are talking about real money here. $5,000 is not something we can see everyday in the moviemaking scene.
Yes, ‘Royalty’ will participate at the contest, but it was not the reason I came back, actually the contest was announced yesterday or two days ago, and I decided to come back about a week ago. About the contest, yes there are a lot of money in stake and I’m more than glad to be part of it, looking forward to see what’s going to happen and the other competitor’s work.
I guess there is no point in asking if you feel confident about your strengths. Taking into consideration that other great players have announced their presence at the contest, such as the creator of Single Gaming series
MiX(eP), do you feel like you will win the big prize? It seems that the audience really likes what he can do with his 3D skills.
Well, MiX(eP) is a great moviemaker, at least cinematically spoken, he has wonderful 3D skills, but that depends, an esport movie is not only about the effects that you hand to the viewer, you need many many things for a perfect movie. I guess it all comes to the jury and the viewers, how they see the movie and also how they feel the movie. In my opinion, feeling is the most important thing that a movie should have, the way that the viewer intercepts the movie. I also have CG skills, but I never used them in a esport movie before, because I’m more into oldschool style, the style that gives you competitional feeling and makes you want to play after you finished watching the movie. I guess I’m confident in my skills and I’m hoping for a good performance at the contest.
So you are counting on a movie which mixes oldschool style with some modern elements. Do you think this will make the difference and destroy any other opponent, no matter what he/she comes to the table with?
Actually I don’t believe that, I’m just doing my style, doing what I like and what I know the audience and fans like, and if this can get me $5,000, then so be it.
And what will you do with those $5,000 if they will be in your wallet ? Have you thought about that ?
Well, it’s too soon to think at that, I have faith in me, but until I finish the project I can’t assume nothing. If I win, I’ll probably invest them in something, or pay the rent for a few months, hehe ;[.
Let us hope that you will win. If the filmmaker is happy so is Airwalk. Everyone wins.
By the way, I have something on my mind that I forgot to ask. Can you give us a time frame for this comeback? I’m talking about how long you’re planning on staying. Or maybe you haven’t got that far with plans for the future yet.
Thanks for the support.
I’m whiling to play my role for a long time if things go smoothly, if everything in my life is good, than everything in my moviemaking life is also good, so I’ll say for an unlimited period. We never know what the future holds for us.
Because everything has an end, so does this interview. The time for your shout-outs is here. Thank you for accepting to be interviewed and I wish you all the best at the contest and at all the upcoming events in your life, no matter what kind of events they are.
Thank you mate, all the best to you and Airwalk as well.
I would like to add something, I apologize to the audience for canceling the project ‘MaFy: Starsroad‘ and ‘#pro.ro‘, I had a hard time back then IRL. Also,
juggaknot, I’m sorry. And a lot of respect for my dear friend and boss,
KrieppeN.
A special message for my gf, thank you for your support and understanding, I love you to death
SilviaB. I also thank my best friend
TAVy, for being crazy as hell.

Inspired from one of the
SK Gaming’s wallpapers,
Airwalk Media’s 3D artist
s1dK with the help of our CEO,
KrieppeN, created one for us too, available in different resolutions.
Maybe this is not the best way to make things, but our artist worked on it pretty much. He built it from nada.
So, with these said, after some preliminary versions, the final one looks like this :

Considering that one resolution is not enough,
KrieppeN and
s1dK decided to make other versions in a bigger resolution. Check them out :
We have to admit that our 3D artist has some talent. If you ask me, I would say “absolutely incredible”.
Let’s give it up for s1dK and KrieppeN !

Airwalk does not only get bigger in the amount of members, but also in amount of years.
Today, when May is about to end, like every year a marvellous thing happens. 21 years ago, the supreme power which is watching over us decided that it’s time for the world to welcome a beautiful little girl. Like this wasn’t enough, year by year that beautiful girl started to grow, getting prettier and prettier.
Here we are today, on the point of witnessing that the girl I was talking about got at the age of 21 years. All these years that passed helped at developing a nice girl with who you can talk with, a girl after who everybody turns their heads on the street and, above all, a girl that knows and understands the phenomenon of Counter-Strike.
Ladies and gentlemen it is a pleasure to whish to our
Airwalk.Babes team captain
Alexandra “Zuza” Hamerca a Happy Birthday. May all her wishes come true!
It’s great to have you on board Alexandra and we hope that you feel the same. God bless you.

We can’t just let areas uncovered because some refuse to think in a bigger way than many of us are used to.This is why reinforcements arrived to support the Airwalk brand.
First, we have news from the northern
Europe, and that is
Norway. Until a few days ago, the team amazement still existed. Today, amazement becomes
Airwalk.CS, keeping all its former rooster involved in the new project.
So, the lineup looks like this :
Dan ‘Naddeh‘ Tørlen
Anders ‘oLyMpE‘ Brovold
Espen ‘FUZKR‘ Eilertsen
Lasse ‘lasse‘ Olafsen
Joakim ‘jokkzter‘ Olaussen
Manager:
Preben ‘prebq‘ Fiveltun
The second point revolves around our former two DotA teams. Practically, those two teams are history now. Theoretically, the soul of the first one is with us again.
After the first team was gone, a second one was made. Whatever we thought at that time, the second team was gone too. Taking into consideration the first team’s results, we decided to give it another shoot with some of the players from that time. After some discussions, the project managers from the first team Robert “pTq-” Dobra and Mihai “itstricky” Pereteanu made a new team, which consists of “Airwalk DotA”.
The new
Airwalk DotA roster looks like this:
Robert ‘RRR‘ Dobra
Mihai ‘Mihai‘ Pereteanu
Catalin ‘zet-‘ Mitroi
Matei ‘Matei‘ Visalon
Florentin ‘Flore‘ Burcea
Danut ‘distwau‘ Popescu
We wish now to sit in our chairs and watch how these two teams are performing at their best. Good luck !

New partner: NordicGamer

We have to admit that we are some fashion haters, or maybe we can call ourselves a rudimentary community when it comes to modern age of technology, but when the natural course of life strikes, you can’t fight back.
This is why we had to take immediate action in order to catch up what we have lost since we decided to not continue with our former sponsor.
Here is where
NordicGamer comes into play. After rounds of negotiations, an agreement was written down. They will be providing for
Airwalk BNCs, CS server and a Ventrilo server. On the other side, Airwalk Media agreed on making them a logo, specially designed by our GFX artist
distwau. Also, you can find their name alongside a banner in the Partners list zone, because this is a partnership, a partnership which we hope it will last for long.
I was able to sat down with our CEO
Dragos ‘KrieppeN’ Karner to find out some of his thoughts about this partnership agreement. He stated :
It’s really great to still find trustable people who can provide great services and the most important thing, who are willing to provide them. All that we hope now is to have a strong partnership that can benefit for both sides.
We will be back with more news, so don’t be a stranger.

distwau returns to Airwalk Media

While everyone was wondering what happened to
distwau since he disappeared from the picture, leaving no trace behind,
Airwalk Media comes forward today with fresh news about him.
A little while ago, Airwalk Media was the center of some controversial discussions regarding the leaving of their former designer.
Asked about this, Airwalk’s CEO stated:
We cannot uncover all that happened in the past and this is why I cannot say much about this so called conflict. All I can do is to assure the audience that what happened in the past stays in the past. We have only positive thoughts regarding the future and everyone involved in Airwalk Media project is working hard to fulfill them.
You can realise now that nobody did anything on purpose. After great stress gathered from daily hard work, things start to collapse sooner or later.
Coming back to the original story, distwau was brought back because of his wonderful artist skills and for the great things that he is able to do in certain programs, such as Adobe Photoshop. No one ever doubted his capability for designing and for this very reason he had to come back one day.
Airwalk Media also sat down with distwau, to see what he has to say. This is what he stated :
I am glad to come back to Airwalk Community with new ideas and maybe even better ones than before. As I can see, there are many new colleagues, but fortunately for me, I know most of them. I hope to do a good job and not disappoint my “boss” aka KrieppeN. Thank you Airwalk and hope for the best.
Let us welcome him with an Airwalk style ! Put your hands together for distwau !
Eight Productions signs with Airwalk Media

The kreedz moviemaking scene is beginning to take shape. More and more moviemakers are starting to learn basic programs just so they can start moviemaking. Many of them developed their skills in such a short time, that the audience is amazed of what they can do nowadays.
Since
Airwalk Media is getting more and more into the Kreedz scene, we are starting to be interested in many filmmakers that are doing Kreedz movies. We see a lot of talents, many people getting to know Sony Vegas and other moviemaking programs at a young age, things which make us happy, thinking that moviemaking has a future. This is what everybody wants to be sure of, that the spark hasn’t died yet.
Lately, a new crew called
Eight Productions, consisting of 4 filmmakers started to shake things up in Kreedz scene, thing which made us focus our attention for some time towards their work. We didn’t have to watch them too much, because we realized they have potential and that they deserve a place from where they can promote the Kreedz scene more easily and from where they can be noticed.
Without further ado, put your hands together for:
